Originally inspired by similar workshops in Europe, The Pittsburgh Perl Workshop was established in 2006 as a low-cost technical conference for users of the Perl Programming Language. The conference emphasizes real code and immediate, pratical solutions to common issues.
Now in its sixth year, PPW has the distinction of being the oldest and longest running event of its type in the country. Key members of the Perl Community travel from all across the country each year to participate in this event.
As always, our event will be held this year at the Carnegie Mellon University's Oakland Campus. The workshop will be held late October 2012.

We are presently working out details for a new venue for PPW in 2013. Please mark your calendars for October 4th through 6th, 2013.
15/08/12 No PPW in 2012
We are sorry to announce that due to a number of contributing factors, there will not be a Pittsburgh Perl Workshop in 2012.
We deeply regret the inconvenience we have caused for our many devoted attendees that look forward to the massive amount of Perlish goodness that we provide every single year.
We hope that with this year off, we will all be able to return with a renewed energy and an even better PPW in 2013.
The PPW organizers.
08/05/12 PPW planning in progress.
We are currently working out the details of when and where PPW will be held this year.
CMU is currently uncertain what weekend might be available for us, if any. We hope to know more by mid-June.
