If you've been writing your web applications with CGI, plain mod_perl, or Mason, it's time to look at Catalyst. In this talk, we'll see how Catalyst's MVC features lets you design more maintainable applications in less time. You'll see how to get an application started, how to interface with a database, add authentication and authorization, how to write code that you'll understand in 6 months, and how to make sure it all works.

At the end of the talk, you'll know enough to get data onto the web with Catalyst, how to understand the documentation for the core and extensions, and where to go for more help.
